Health Briefcase Stolen from the Employee’s Car

Jon Popowich the chief quality and privacy officer with Covenant Health said:” “We value the trust that we’re given in that information and take it very seriously — so we responded immediately to this.”
This theft was reported to Edmonton police at 6 am the same morning when the employee discovered that his car has been broken into and the briefcase has been stolen from his car. It was at this point that the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner and Alberta Health Services was contacted and was informed about this case.
Popowich has said that the employee followed the correct safety procedure by leaving the briefcase in a locked vehicle.

Western Health Optimistic About Phones Services Recovery

Western health is confident that all of its phone systems will be again normal by this morning. The phone systems at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, the Corner Brook long term care center and the Hammond Building on West Valley Road were all knocked out after the latest rains and storm.
The disruption in phone services also affected around 200 of residential customers.

The workers of Bell Aliant were still working to resolve this problem. However pshone services of both the hospital and the long term care center have been restored late on Tuesday. While residential phones were expected be functional on Wednesday.

Felix g. Arroyo the newly appointed Boston Health and Human Services chief has said that his first priority in his new appointment would be to reduce health disparities among different racial groups and social class of the city.

“It’s really evident when you look at health statistics across our city,” Arroyo said while commenting on these disparities. He said that he wants to work to reduce these disparities.

Arroyo who was the former city councilor from Jamaica was appointed on Sunday to lead a newly designed Health and Human Services department under the leadership of the Mayor Martin Walsh. Arroyo hasn’t worked in the health care industry before.
